Overview:

United Marine International (UMI) is the world's leading producer of marine trash skimmers. UMI designs, manufactures, and markets Water Management Boats to remove floating pollutants from the waterways. UMI's products include Marine Trash Skimmers, Aquatic Weed Harvesters, Oil Skimmers, combination Oil/Debris Skimmers and various accessories and support equipment to provide Complete Systems that complement the operation of the boats.

With numerous optional features, each machine may be customized to achieve maximum efficiency for the specific application at hand.

Profile:

United Marine International (UMI) and its predecessor companies developed a line of Aquatic Weed Harvesters in the late 1970's. Over the years this product has seen many improvements in quality, durability and productivity. In the early 1980's, customers asked UMI to modify the Weed Harvesters so they could be used for trash and debris skimming. UMI designed a new type of machine specifically to remove all types of floating trash and debris from inland and coastal waterways. This trash ranges in size, shape, and weight from small, elusive and lightweight material (such as Styrofoam) to long, large and heavy items (such as logs and poles.)  The result of this development and subsequent improvements is the current TrashCat™ Marine Trash Skimmer design. Today, UMI is recognized as the world's technological leader, having supplied approximately 70 Trash Skimmers around the world, many being multiple and/or repeat orders...and this doesn't include the many dozens of UMI WeedCat™ Aquatic Weed Harvesters also in operation worldwide.

United Marine International (UMI), Division of LWT, is one of 4 internationally recognized firms, all organized under Baltimore Dredge Enterprises, LLC of Baltimore, Maryland, USA....all involved in the design, manufacture, and sale of marine environmental Water Management Equipment used in the handling of materials above, on, and below water. 

Specifically, 3 companies specialize in hydraulic dredging equipment...Ellicott Dredges, Div. of Baltimore Dredges, LLC; Liquid Waste Technology, LLC (LWT); and Innovative Material Systems (IMS), Div. of LWT. UMI's products are primarily concentrated in the handling and removal of nuisance aquatic vegetation and floating debris.
